👋 Hello and welcome. I'm David Platt, and platt.ing is a side project of mine. I'm a technology advocate with over a decade in the software industry, particularly focused on the print production industry. My professional experiences range from software training to consultation, solution architecture to support, and sales and management.

Personal

I'm a proud husband and father of two little ones. We live in South Carolina, and can be found cheering for our alma mater Clemson University just about any chance we get.

I've been honored to be a part of the Clemson Athletics department for more than a decade as a sideline photographer, and even served as the lead athletics photographer from 2019–2021.

From a young age I have been an avid outdoorsman, and I enjoy the chances I get to spend time outside. My personal favorite outdoor activity is saltwater fishing (specifically inshore fishing in the Florida Keys), though a close second would be big game hunting with my father. My family also enjoys hiking and downhill skiing.

I spend a good deal of my free and me time reading and tinkering , and so I use the blog to share interesting items on the web, as well as projects I'm working on. I hope you find it useful!
